Privacy Policy

Overview

Premed Gunner ("the App") is a medical education app for MCAT exam preparation. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we collect:

• Your name and email address (from your sign-in provider)
• A profile avatar you choose in the app

As you use the App, we collect:

• Quiz performance data (answers, scores, streaks, accuracy)
• Spaced repetition progress (which cards you've studied and your mastery level)
• Leaderboard scores (weekly XP, accuracy, streaks)
• Anonymous usage events — which screens you opened, which buttons you tapped, session length. These help us understand how the App is used so we can improve it. We do NOT collect the content of questions you answer, the text of your reports, or any clinical reasoning data.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide personalized spaced repetition and track your study progress
• To display your name and scores on the weekly leaderboard
• To sync your progress across devices
• To send study reminder notifications (if you enable them)

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). Quiz progress is also stored locally on your device. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — for sign-in
• Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) — for data storage
• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — for anonymous usage measurement (screen views, button taps, session length). No question content, answers, or clinical data is collected.
• Apple Foundation Models — for on-device AI explanations (processed entirely on your device, no data sent to external servers)

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by deleting your account in the Profile tab or contacting us.
